                      بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. لَاۤ اُقۡسِمُ بِهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِۙ                                                          ‏  I do call to witness this City.                                                       وَاَنۡتَ حِلٌّ ۢ بِهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِۙ‏  And thou art a freeman of this City.                                                               وَوَالِدٍ وَّمَا وَلَدَ ۙ‏  And (the mystic ties of) parent and child...

                  بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.                                                         وَالشَّمۡسِ وَضُحٰٮهَا By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour;                                                             وَالۡقَمَرِ اِذَا تَلٰٮهَا  By the Moon as she follows him;                                                           وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا جَلّٰٮهَا By the Day as it shows up (the Sun's) glory;           ...

                            بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. وَالَّيۡلِ اِذَا يَغۡشٰىۙ                                                                       ‏  By the Night as it conceals (the light).  وَالنَّهَارِ اِذَا تَجَلّٰىۙ                                                                      ‏  By the Day as it appears in glory.  وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالۡاُنۡثٰٓىۙ                                  ...

                             بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.                                                  اَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَـكَ صَدۡرَكَۙ  ‏  Have We not expanded thee thy breast?                                                      وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنۡكَ وِزۡرَكَۙ‏  And removed from thee thy burden                                                        الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَۙ‏  The which did gall thy back?         ...

                    بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.                                                           وَالتِّيۡنِ وَالزَّيۡتُوۡنِۙ ‏  By the Fig and the Olive,                                                                 وَطُوۡرِ سِيۡنِيۡنَۙ‏  And the Mount of Sinai,                                                            وَهٰذَا الۡبَلَدِ الۡاَمِيۡنِۙ‏  And this City of security,-       ...

(or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-                                                   خَلَقَ الۡاِنۡسَانَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ‌ۚ ‏  Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood.                                                         اِقۡرَاۡ وَرَبُّكَ الۡاَكۡرَمُۙ‏  Proclaim!
