SURAH MAUN

                        بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

اَرَءَيۡتَ الَّذِىۡ يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّيۡنِؕ.                                     ‏ 

Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?

فَذٰلِكَ الَّذِىۡ يَدُعُّ الۡيَتِيۡمَۙ.                                         ‏ 

Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),

وَ لَا يَحُضُّ عَلٰى طَعَامِ الۡمِسۡك                                 ‏ 

And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.

                                                   فَوَيۡلٌ لِّلۡمُصَلِّيۡنَۙ‏ 

So woe to the worshipper.

                                الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ عَنۡ صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُوۡنَۙ‏ 

Who are neglectful of their prayers,

الَّذِيۡنَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُوۡنَۙ                                                ‏ 

Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),

                                               وَيَمۡنَعُوۡنَ الۡمَاعُوۡنَ

But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
