SURAH HUMAZAH

                      بِسۡمِ اللهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

وَيۡلٌ لِّـكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةِ ۙ                          ‏ 

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter,

                        اۨلَّذِىۡ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗ ۙ‏ 

Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by.

                       يَحۡسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗۤ اَخۡلَدَهٗ‌ ۚ‏ 

Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!

                  ۖ‏     كَلَّا‌ لَيُنۡۢبَذَنَّ فِى الۡحُطَمَةِ

By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces,

                        وَمَاۤ اَدۡرٰٮكَ مَا الۡحُطَمَةُ ؕ‏ 

And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?

                                نَارُ اللّٰهِ الۡمُوۡقَدَةُ ۙ‏ 

(It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze)

                     الَّتِىۡ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الۡاَفۡـــِٕدَةِ ؕ‏ 

The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:

                           اِنَّهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ مُّؤۡصَدَةٌ ۙ‏ 

It shall be made into a vault over them,

                                 فِىۡ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ

In columns outstretched.
